Who Is Tim Horton and Why Won’t Larry Drink His Coffee?

Larry is a principled man and just will not drink Tim Hortons coffee. Save any acrimony until after you hear the reason why. Then hear about how much Larry loves the opening sequence to “The Rifleman.” And Larry aptly recites “All The World’s A Stage” by Shakespeare, before tearing out the door to an acting job.

Quote Of The Week: “You’re actually very close to seeing God again right now.”

Tim Horton’s…lol. Tim Horton’s is the Dunkin Donuts of Canada (but on steroids). It once was just a donut and coffee chain that has now expanded into sandwiches and lunch type offerings. Canadians often treat Tim’s coffee as liquid Canadiana (Canadian bases in many parts of the world… including Afghanistan, feature Tim Horton’s stands. BTW, there was a real Tim Horton. He was an NHL hockey player (24 seasons) he died in a car accident just after a game (he was with the Buffalo Sabre’s at the time)in the mid-70’s. He opened his first donut shop in Ottawa Ontario in the early 60’s. BTW, Wendys is a major shareholder… Tim Hortons can also be found in various parts of the U.S….. and now you know.

Tim Horton died February 21, 1974 in a car accident while being chased by police and also had a blood-alcohol level twice the legal limit. The first Tim Hortons location was actually on Ottawa Street in Hamilton, Ontario. As for Wendy’s, they no longer own any part of Tim Hortons. They spun off the rest of its shares in Tim Hortons, by distributing the remaining 82% to its shareholders on 24 September 2006.
