No Larry Is An Island

Larry talks about a “tea ceremony” that he attended and how much he enjoyed it, even though he didn’t understand any of it. Then Larry recites, “No Man Is An Island” by poet John Donne. Our movie this week is the classic The African Queen, starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn.

The saying is not “The proof is in the pudding.” I mean, some people say that, but they are ignoramuses. The correct saying is “The proof of the pudding is in the eating,” and it is from Don Quixote. It means, in essence, you don’t know until you try.
