Larry Finds a Nude Beach
Larry stumbles across a nude beach and makes a spectacle. No, not a pair of glasses so he could see better, he makes a spectacle with his reaction.

The great hunter returns from Vancouver with tales of long walks, comedic cheese-takes (not to be confused with comedic cheesesteaks) and eating lunch next to a toxic waste cleanup site.
Larry also espouses the philosophy of finding “another tiny drop,” and no, Mr. Funny Person, he’s not talking about booze. Well, not this time, anyway. In addition, we hear about the deceptively wisdom of Honus Wagner, Casey Stengal and Mickey Mantle.
We also find out that we don’t know what tilapia is. And more importantly, we find out that we don’t care.
So, go polish up your fancy two-tone spectator shoes and take a stroll until you’re walking like John Wayne.

My Dad used to do that pose a lot. Still does. He would see a ‘scantily clad’ woman either on TV or in the real life and would put his hand up to his eyes but allow one to peek out….and he always says “I’m gonna riska one eye!” which is a punchline to a joke he heard and used to tell. Lady Godiva was the subject of the joke.
And huh, I learned that’s where ‘Peeping Tom’ came about (although that is what the internet says).

Larry,
I really enjoy the podcast. I listen to yours and Adam’s whenever I have to do any mindless work, such as mowing. It makes me actually look forward to things that I’ve always hated in the past.
There are two things on the recent episode I felt the need to respond to. I haven’t been able to eat tilapia since I saw the “Dirty Jobs” episode that showed how they feed tilapia. The fish farm raised striped bass and when they were big enough to ship off they brought in the tilapia to clean out the striped bass tank. That’s how they were fed, with striper shit. The other thing is that Honus Wagner’s ghost will haunt you for suggesting he was chewing tobacco. The reason his card is so rare is that he was very anti-tobacco and he didn’t want his image on a card in a pack of tobacco (which is what cards came in in those days.
Anyway, thanks for the show and keep up the good work. I really appreciate your sincerity.

Nude beach. Nice idea, problem is there are always large numbers of people that have no business being nude in public.

Nothing wrong with Larry’s finding a topless beach, but the teaser episode title suggested more.

My favorite line: ” I was walking around like John Wayne for three days” LMAO!! Great podcast Larry and good job in Curb. Thank you for helping me remember what’s important with your ending tag line. The game is over and I really have won.

Spit bucket!?!?! LOL! I have visions of Mel Brooks following Larry around with a piss bucket like he did with Harvey Korman in “History of the World, Part 1”. 🙂

Larry-
Great job as always, and I must agree with Jeff Christian above – you want to avoid Tilapia, or ANY farmed fish, these days, as they are living in pens and eating excrement (much of it their OWN excrement), basically the whole day long. Better to stick with something wild-caught or deep-ocean – at least they get a variety of excrement to eat. Seriously, though, the deep water fish and wild-caught varieties tend to have a more natural diet and less disease (which means less antibiotics fed to the fish), all of which means less bad things in the human that eats them.
Enjoy and thanks again for all the good humor and great stories!
Warmly,
Dave Giaimo

Larry,
In light of this wonderful discovery you may with to look into the up and coming Go Topless day, Sunday August 21st. http://www.gotopless.org/ As a gentleman, do I really need to beg your support of such an important movement?
