Larry Update & Eating Charlie Sheen For Lunch Redux

If Larry was a hot dog, what would he be? You’ve heard Larry obsess over pies, booze, soap and pretzels. Could hot dogs be far behind? No.

Larry talks about eating a hot dog named after Charlie Sheen. He compares and contrasts his hot dog stand dining experience with that of a big-ticket steak joint in Beverly Hills. You may be surprised which one he thought was “time well spent.” (Unless you are a regular listener, in which case, the answer will be quite obvious.)

Hear our man Larry go bananas over a Green Lantern pin sent in by a listener. Listen as Larry defends and slightly admires Charlie Sheen, talks about meeting Peter Billingsley, gets nostalgic for Chicago dogs and reads hand-written letters from members of the Larry Miller Drinking Society.

Quote of the week:

“If that doesn’t sound pretty good, I believe you’re listening to the wrong show.”

Larry Miller fans held hostage: Day 36.

Wild speculation, ranging from a terrorist kidnapping to Miller sneaking off to Thailand to enjoy some lost-cost strange, has fans begging for more information. Meanwhile, Miller is being treated at a secret Screen Actors Guild hospital, formerly the set for General Hospital. His doctors, citing HIPO confidentiality laws while holding out their hands and coughing *ahem*, said that they were unable to release any more details.

I keep thinking I’ll just listen to the update then turn off the episode since it’s a “rerun”, but I always end up listening to the whole thing! Thanks, Col. Jeff, for keeping us updated, and keep the reruns coming! Larry, get well soon, and thanks for making a show that holds up so well after all these… year.

Hey, I’m that Kurt who wrote in back then and am still so happy to hear Larry do his band, dancers, and boy tenor introduction week after week. I also think I may have had the first “Christmas Story” reference on the show, but that’s neither here nor there.

Get well soon Larry, we miss you!

Just wondering if you ever got to name that hot dog? Obviously it would

definitely have to have 2 hot dogs in it. “Now that’s what I call a double!”

We never did get around to deciding on a hot dog name. It’s funny what gags stick and what gags don’t! — Col. Jeff
