No, They Were Very Cold

Larry reconsiders his position on Indian casinos after tossing back a few drinks with the chief of a tribe. What do the Crimean War, Pinewood Studios and Larry have in common? If you guessed, “beer,” then reward yourself with, well, a beer. And hear about the fine line between being hypocritical and inconsistent.

Show Summary

In this episode, daylight savings time is passionately defended by Larry. But if you’ve forgotten how to program your microwave clock, you’ve come to the wrong place.

We get to more of your hand-written letters and for fear of being deemed inconsistent, we fail to get to most of the topics we have planned for the show.

So, take a listen to this week’s episode — and then you meet women.

This episode description was dictated, but not written.

Quote of the week:

    “Heritage and breeding.”

    Love you sign off.

Folks if you have a job to go to every morning and someone who cares for you when you come home well then game over, you’ve won.

    I know I don’t have it 100% correct.

I just think it is such a terrific message.

    Great show as always, Larry.

I need a soap melding ruling from the master:

-I accidentally broke a small bar of soap into two smaller chips

-Then I tried to combine these two chips into one larger bar (it was still pretty small though)

-As I was combining the three soaps, the larger one broke into two

-I then melded the four pieces together successfully

So I need a ruling as to whether this is a two-, three-, or four-fecta. Please help me Larry.

Larry!! You now need to end your show after the music

“And then you meet women!” or when you advertise the show for instance

after the road trip game with Adam “If you want to meet women listen to

This week with Larry Miller” The numbers would be astronomical

The OFFICIAL St. Patty’s Day Larry Miller podcast!…with no mention of St. Patty’s Day. I am currently a practicing member of the LMDS…..at work…by myself

My wife sent away for a LMDS card for me, as her gift to me for our anniversary (6 years married). I could’ve picked a PS3 or set of new golf clubs, but those options pale in comparison. Plus, they cost a lot more.

I know the card won’t arrive by tomorrow, but the wait is worth it!

I ride my bike to work and in the early morning often see the same people walking dogs, waiting at a bus stop or in one case a guy exiting his car to head into his job. We all always wave and acknowledge each other.

After listening to the podcast today, I took Larry’s advice to take time and talk to people. On my way home, I stopped and talked to four people… one is a friend, one a stranger working in her yard, one a stranger on his motor scooter and finally the guy I always see exiting his car heading into work. This was the first time I saw this guy getting INTO his car to leave work.

It took me an extra one and half hours to get home, but you know what? It was a lot of fun. Thanks Larry.

Larry’s stories are all poignant but another aspect I enjoy about each episode is we realize what Jeff is exactly like even though we have never heard him.

    Carry on.

Daylight savings time saves electricity. It takes an hour of daylight from the morning, before most people get up, and puts it in the evening. This way we don’t use as much artificial light.

I can’t believe no one picked Larry up on this (or maybe I wasn’t listening properly):

Larry hears the actor he calls Richard Anderson (whoever he really was) talk of “Heritage and Breeding” on the set of Carry on Columbus in 1991 or 1992.

How could he be thinking of that incident contemporaneously to footage of the birth of Prince William in 1982?
