The Table Where The Dog’s Butt Was

Larry talks about a movie he’s on that is shooting in a veterinary clinic and how all the rules are out the door. Then we hear about Citizen Kane and Larry recites the poem “The Mermaid” by Tennyson. Also Larry argues with himself about whether he’d rather fight one bear-sized bee or 100 bee-sized bears.

Quote Of The Week: “I can live without honey.”

    RE: Rosebud utterance

Loved the Orson Welles story. When I first saw the movie 25 years ago, I exclaimed to anyone who would listen, “There is no one in the room to hear him say ‘Rosebud!'” Poetic license.

As Orson Welles would sign off,

I remain as always, obediently yours.

Larry; Not to diminish the Citizen Kane story, of how important it is to remember everyone makes errors.

But the Audience was there. To hear …….”Rosebud”. It still happened, even if unwitnessed by a charactor,.. like the noise of a falling tree in the woods. These things leave their mark.
